Staying True to You – Authenticity

“Remind yourself that you cannot fail at being yourself.” – Wayne Dyer

So are you living a life connected with your authentic self?

Do you stay connected to your authenticity despite what others may say or do?

Deep within us lies our very own special and sacred place.  A place that if we allow can provide so much nourishment to life and to others.  A place that can reflect the light of the real you inside.  A you that is unique to this world, and filled with an abundance of love, truth, honesty and compassion.

Sadly during the day-to-day run of our life it is easy to lose touch with our authentic-self.  At times we may feel totally blocked to our authenticity and what it is we really want to say, do or be!

Maybe the role as the mum, or the wife, or the best friend, or the daughter, or even the manager at work, perhaps one of the roles in your life has become challenging, all because of the set of rules and regulations we can place within our thinking styles!

Perhaps some of the countless long hours at work included actions taken and words spoken that were not in-line with your values, and this left you feeling lost with your purpose, your contribution, your productivity, more importantly left you feeling disconnected from life, and your true core self.

In your personal life, again actions may have been taken and words spoken that caused pain, and again you were left feeling lost, disconnected, and unable to truly express what you really want, or need just to keep the peace!

“In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.” – Buddha

So the way I see authenticity is to create a simple formula inside.  A formula that allows each of us to stay true to how we love, how we live, and how easily we can let go off all the things that no longer serve our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.  A formula and awareness that knows despite all the external factors in all of our lives, we can aim to stay true to who we are, and connected to the natural state of living we all deserve.  A living based around love, compassion, forgiveness and understanding, and a day-to-day formula that reflects to our own life, and to those around us, the natural beauty that resides within our hearts.

Authentic living takes courage, strength and determination, and each one of us must allow our individuality to shine!

So when your heart and authenticity speak to you, allow it to be heard.  Let it’s wisdom guide you, and allow those authentic 6words and actions to shine to the outside world.

The time we have here is short – so use your time wisely so you can add authentic value to your own life, to the life of others, and to all that you do in life.

    1. Agreed Linda. It is a daily challenge, but when we are free from attachment to what others say and do, and stay within our own values, it is amazing how light and liberated we can become.
Yours in authenticity my dear friend. Xxx
